Sustainability
Over the years, Woodfit have constantly strived to stay ahead of the industry curve in terms of sustainability and we remain committed today!
The wood we use at Woodfit Acoustics is a naturally sustainable material, being sourced from well-managed, renewable forests. The method of facing fibreboard with natural wood veneers is used in the vast majority of our products and is a highly efficient way of harnessing the beauty of wood, with .6mm veneer providing up to forty times the coverage of 25mm solid.
Fibreboard is manufactured from wood fibres sourced from forestry bi-product and co-products, allowing for the efficient use of materials that would otherwise be wasted.
We maintain a policy of reducing the emissions and waste associated with our products on a constant basis. Wherever possible, we use VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) free finishes and low formaldehyde MDF boards.
Woodfit Acoustics hold “FSC® Chain of Custody Certification,” allowing us to provide FSC® certified products, sourced from responsibly managed forests around the world.

Technical Details
WALL INSTALLATION
Typically, Woodfit panels are installed by applying a wooden sub-frame directly to the wall or partition, then fixing the panelling to the sub-frame. Rockwool, typically 50mm in thickness, is fitted between the battens to increase absorption capacity.
CEILING INSTALLATION
Ceiling installation utilizes an MF system in conjunction with plywood battens. The MF system is suspended from the ceiling with plywood battens being screwed to the “top-hat” sections. The linear boards are then fixed to the battens using pins and adhesive.

Linear Panel Specifications

Acoustic Performance
Panel features saw cuts (mills) on the face and perforations on the back. Panel is typically installed with 50mm of acoustic insulation to the rear. Acoustic performance varies dependant on the “open area.” Download spec sheets for performance data on individual products.
Panel Dimensions
- Available Lengths: 2400mm, 3050mm, Custom
- Available Widths: 192mm*, Custom
*+/- 10mm for some variations
Fleece Backing
Non-woven, acoustically invisible fleece is typically fixed to the acoustic foam for a black-out effect in the panel opening. This fleece can be fixed to rear of panel upon request.
Fire Rating
Woodfit Linear panels can be made to order to meet a range of fire classifications as required.
